Brake the road safety
charity
Driving Instructor Buddy Scheme
Tim Sheeran is proud
to support Brakes Buddy Driving Instructor Scheme. Brake
is a registered charity with two aims:
1.
to prevent death and injury on the roads through education
of all road users and campaigning for road safety. Road
deaths are no accident; every death has a cause that can
be prevented
2 .to care for people bereaved or affected by serious
injury in a road crash through support services by our
division BrakeCare.
Driving instructors can help train safe drivers by
signing up to Brake’s Buddy Driving Instructor
scheme, helping to promote Brake’s acclaimed 2Young2Die
campaign.
Upon a donation all Buddy Instructors receive a pack
of 2Young2Die driver safety resources from the charity
to discuss with, and pass on, to pupils.
Throughout your driving lessons I will offer advice
on becoming a safe driver, including the dangers involved
not only to ourselves but to others from speeding, driving
irresponsibly and driving whilst under the influence
of drink and drugs.
On passing the driving test you will also receive:
• 2Young2Die
booklet - a hard-hitting, glossy guide to
staying alive on the road, specifically
written for young drivers.
• Sober Up leaflet
- the facts on drink and drugged driving, specifically
aimed at young drivers.
• Tyre tread indicator
card - credit-card size card with a tyre
tread indicator and Brake’s
‘Pledge to Drive Safely’ tips.
